Colonie Golf
Course. "In the Spring of 1969, the Town of Colonie opened
a scenic 18 hole layout in the Western portion of the Town off
Consaul Road. The facility included a Clubhouse with a Pro Shop,
restaurant and locker rooms, along with a driving range and putting
green.
Due to the overwhelming popularity of the course, in 1978 the Town
Board authorized the construction of an additional 9 holes, and in
June of 1980 the new layout was open to the public. Also added were
5 new tennis courts and a 9 golf cart storage building. Attendance
at the 27 hole course has increased to approximately 80,000 -
100,000 rounds of golf per year.
In 1996, additional land was purchased and a new 9 hole addition was
being planned and designed. With the "Cutting of the Green" ceremony
on September 3, 1998, the Town of Colonie became one of the largest
public golf course facilities in the country. The 36 hole layout
allows for approximately 180 additional golfers per day (30%
increase). With the increasing popularity of golf, yearly attendance
at the Colonie Town Golf course could approach over 100,000 rounds
of golf per year."

Mill Road Acres Golf
Course and Mill Road Restaurant. "The Mill Road Acres Golf
Course and Mill Road Restaurant family would like to welcome you to
our 2005 season! We are located just off Route 87 (Northway), in the
"heart" of the Capital District.
We have a challenging executive 18 hole public golf course. A
three-tiered natural grass driving range is available for practice
and fine tuning your golf game.
Golf hours are from 7:00 am to Sundown. We suggest you call two days
in advance for a tee time. Professional golf lessons are available
through Peter Gerard our resident golf pro.
Mill Road Restaurant is open all year for your dining pleasure. Our
executive chef has created a menu with many delicious entrees.

Banquet space is available for all types of events. We have two
private banquet rooms available for your special function, from
Weddings to board meetings to Retirement parties. We also have a new
expanded covered deck for dining and outdoor events. We can
accommodate parties from 10 to 150 people."
